For over 12 years, the Office of Project Management for Exchange has been in existence at Exiis Corporation. It was created during the Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 era when Exiis Corporation realized there had to be a better way to insure a smooth transition between two Exchange organizations, which at that time was Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000. Exchange 2000 was radically redesigned to meet the flexibility of the “new” Windows 2000 Active Directory Directory Services. Over the years, Exiis Corporation has refined, adjusted, and improved upon the methodologies of documenting, planning, migrating, and deploying new releases of Microsoft Exchange. We now maintain a 99.9% uptime record for our Exchange projects. We have established a constant line of communication between stakeholders, managers, team members and end-users which guarantees everyone involved is informed and up-to-date.
 
Many on-line companies have followed our lead…up to a few years ago, no one had a Project Management Office—no one. ·         How long will it take? You should receive a timeline and expect the project to be completed within the timeline promised.
·         How many resources will be assigned? This depends on the project size; you’re in trouble if your Project Manager is the manager, architect, technician, support, and technical writer.
 
Ask to visit the Project Management Office: Meet the actual team members, talk to the project managers, and get a feel of the office. A clean, well-organized, and professionally decorated office is a sure sign they will be well-organized during the project lifecycle.
